Japan n China bag Asian Junior Tennis championships

Miho Kowase of Japan and Bowen Ouyang of China emerged winners in the girls and boys section respectively on the concluding day of the Asian Junior Tennis championships here at the RK Khanna Tennis complex on Sunday.


In the girls singles section, Miho the ninth seed in this tournament created a flutter when she overcame the challenge of second seed Ran Tian of China and won at 6-1 ,7-6(4) . In the Boys Singles Final it was an all Chinese affair and the match turned out to be a cliff hanger with second seed Bowen Ouyang ultimately clinching the tie in three sets by beating Chuhan Wang the top seed in this tournament, with scores being 6-1,3-6,6-2.
