Saina through to semis of Badminton Asia Championships 2010



Top seed Saina Nehwal was the only Indian on Day 5 of the Badminton Asia Championships to make it to the semi final. Its India's best performance in the championship after 1966 when Dinesh Khanna won the tournament. Women's singles players Aditi Mutatkar, men's doubles pair of Rupesh Kumar & Sanave Thomas and the mixed doubles pair V Diju & Jwala Gutta all lost in the quarter finals.




Saina take on unseeded Xuerui Li of China in the semi final on Saturday, April 17, 2010. Xuerui had beaten 4th seed Pui Yin Yip of Japan in Round 2. The session will start at 11:00 am.
