India Hopes in 8 Nation Invitational Lawn Bowls Event 6-10 April, 2010

India have medal hopes in Women’s Pairs and Triples categories of the 8th Nation Invitational Lawn Bowls Tournament.


The Semi Final for both the categories will be played in session 1 that starts at 9.00 am on Saturday, 10th April, 2010.



Rest of the line-up for the semi-finals to be played tomorrow is as under:

Women’s Triple:

Match 1: India Vs England

Match 2: Malaysia Vs Australia

Men’s Triple:

Match 1: Australia Vs New Zealand

Match 2: England Vs Northern Island

Women’s Pairs:

Match 1: Scotland Vs Australia

Match 2: India Vs South Africa

Men’s Pairs:

Match 1: Australia Vs England

Match 2: New Zealand Vs South Africa

Men’s Singles:

Match 1: Northern Ireland Vs Malaysia

Match 2: New Zealand Vs Scotland

Women’s Singles:

Match 1: Australia Vs South Africa

Match 2: Malaysia Vs New Zealand



The playoffs for the 5th and the 6th position in the Singles category will be played tomorrow in the 1st session.

Match 1: South Africa Vs Australia

Malaysia beat Northern Ireland 11-2, 11-1

MEN’S TRIPLES PLAYOFFS FOR 5TH & 6TH POSITION

South Africa beat Scotland 13-2, 8-7

New Zealand beat Scotland 6-6, 9-8

MEN’S SINGLES SEMI-FINALS PLAYOFFS

Match 1: Malaysia beat South Africa 4-12, 7-6, (3-2) won in tie break

Match 2: New Zealand beat Australia 4-13, 8-7, (5-0) won in tie break
WOMEN’S SINGLES SEMI-FINALS PLAYOFFS

Match 1: South Africa beat Scotland 11-4, 4-10, (4-1) won in tie break

Match 2: Malaysia beat India 5-11, 6-5, (3-1) won in tie break
